Towards a Scalable Infrastructure for Semantic Web Services Execution
Abstract—In this work, we propose the implementation of an infrastructure compliant with the principles established by the OASIS Semantic Execution Environment TC. We use an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) as the backbone for our proposal. We believe that developed approaches to model Semantic Web Services must be put in practice. In this way it is possible to use Semantic Web Services in conjunction with an ESB to define a Semantic Enterprise Service Bus (SESB). The SESB provides mechanisms to collect all these technologies together and acts as a layer to overcome the application integration problem. Measurements show that our platform imposes acceptable overheads when enforcing the described design.
