Abstract—Complex networks have attracted increasing attention from various fields of science and engineering today. In this paper, with assuming irreduciblity and symmetry of the couplings, we prove that a single controller can pin a coupled complex network to a homogenous solution, which is investigated for both continuous-time and discrete-time cases. Sufficient conditions are presented to guarantee the convergence of the pinning process locally and globally. The efficiency of the derived-results are illustrated by numerical simulation.
